PLOT: Soul Eater (ソウルイーター, Soru Ita ?) is a Japanese manga written by Atsushi Okubo and published by Enix in the monthly Shonen Gangan

. At first it was released in three separate one-shot in 2003, and then come out as a series regular since 2004. April 2008 in Japan came out eleven bound volumes. North American distribution rights for the manga were transferred to the Yen Press. The series has been transposed into an anime, of which the first episode was released April 7, 2008, produced by the study Bones.Soul Eater tells the adventures of three children: Albiani Maka, Death the Kid and Black Star. These guys are studying the Shibusen, the Shinigami technical school, based in Death City, where they live. The boys, accompanied by their living weapons (sort of shape-shifting demons) must collect 99 human souls and 1 witch to make evolve their weapons Death Scythe.
